There were some cool wigwams back in the day for sure.

My father was pipeline welder for 40 years (which spawned my affection for travel trailers and RV’s)

Certainly long before I entered the scene in 1967, but his first trailer and tow vehicle combination was a 40’ Spartan that he pulled with a 1955 Buick which sported a custom built WD hitch he built himself. Sure wish I had a picture that rig.
