Use to be black was only toilet but now often the bath sink goes to black. We just bought a 2015 Thor and that is how it works. All my other rvs were separate. Best way to check is once you have dumped leave the valve to the black open and run each sink and shower individually to see if water comes out of the black tank. If no water drains then it is toilet only.

Shame they can't come up with an accurate sensor because it is a real pain in the butt not really knowing what capacity the tank is holding

Hi knight tab,
I do want to say they do make aftermarket sensors that reall work. They cost about $200 and have to be installed, but they do work!
Do a search here on irv2 and you will find many discussions.
