I have been leery of using the Macerator as I have realized, more often than not, the waste from the black tank is emptied more slowly than hooking up the 3" hose and pulling the black tank dump handle.
My question is will the slower dumping flow rate when using a portable Macerator eventually cause a buildup of solids in the black tank? The waste has to be slowed down to be ground up then forced through a 3/4" hose.
I prefer the sudden whoosh of waste coming out of the black tank which carries the solids and waste water along with it. I'm fussy about my tank care procedures. I don't need to deal with the dreaded pyramid or malfunctioning tank sensors.
Has anyone else used a portable Macerator and what success or failure have you had with it?

I have a Macerator pump used to dispose of waste when a 3" hose won't reach. However the tank seems to get poop pyramids more frequently when using the Macerator.
I had a thought... put a PVC "T" inline with the pump's output. One end of the "T" terminates in a male GHT adapter, the other leads to a ball valve the other end of which leads the pulverised poop back into the black tank "upstream" of the toilet's down pipe.
When recirculation of the macerated material is desired a GHT cap is installed instead of a garden hose leading to the sewer/septic drain port, and the balll valve is opened.
In one position the valve would direct waste to its final destination... Running the Macerator for a few minutes before dumping would pulverize all solids and toilet paper while using the liquified efluent to force the beginning of a poo pyramid into the Macerator.
Do you believe this concept has merit?
If so a self sealing gromet inserted through the tank with a 3/4 or 1" PVC pipe inserted through it would assure a leak free connection.
