One month will go to waste, as we will be away for only two months. Wondering if there is a comparable virtual mail forwarding service for less...

the worst thing that Charlie Adccok and crew did with FMCA was to eliminate the Mail Forwarding benefit of FMCA...We had used it from 1999 to it ended and it was terrific ,dependable with top notch people working it....I was so disappointed and still am..enough that when our membership runs out,we will probably leave FMCA....We had taken a 5 yr renew,,C

We have changed almost all our bill / income related mail to electronic. Most of the mail we get is junk. Our neighbor picks up the remaining mail and keeps a watch on our home.

I guess you don't know why the mail forwarding ended. It was a serious financial drain on FMCA! For the approx 800-900 members that used the forwarding, it was costing over $100,000 a year! You had staff to pay, you had a major building to support ,equipment to maintain and the list goes on.

It was the Governing Board that voted to eliminate the mail forwarding so you can blame me for one. It was not Charlie Adcock, it was the entire GB of approximately 400 that made the decision Financial decisions are hard to make and this was one of them.

Sorry to see you go if you are so inclined but there are more benefits that FMCA offers other than the mail forwarding.

Just for grins and giggles, I'll go back in my notes and check the numbers

Don,
you are correct, that we had no knowledge at all why it was eliminated...never saw those #'s before and I read the MAGAZINE cover to cover monthly...to me the 2nd best benefit of FMCA....
My apology to Charlie Adcock for single handed doing away with the Mail Forwarding...hate to blame him if not due..
thanks for the info...C

To us the magazine has evolved into ads. If you want a really informative RVing magazine not only for motorhome owners but for everyone.... take a look at the Escapees magazine. Lots of good articles on travel and 'how to do' written by RVers.
