I'm curious about this as well. just because it says Ford on my grill doesn't mean I am sponsering a an ad for the Ford Motor Company.

re: "Many topics we discuss here are about corner cases and what could theoretically happen but there's not a list of members stepping up to say it did in fact happen to them. IMHO, it's still a good discussion."

The concern I have is that it is not presented as a corner case but rather as something for everyone to fear. And even corner cases need to keep to reality and reason if they are going to serve any purpose.

FUD mongering - as so often happens on this topic - does not help anyone, IMHO.

Been past hundreds of weigh stations in all the lower 48 states, I have never seen a motorhome in a weigh station in the last 30 years.

Without a business name DOT does not know it is in business and even then commanders discourage officers from wasting time stopping RVs. Most states like Florida give exemptions to RVs on drivers license requirements and hours of driving, etc. ie: we do not issue citations on restrictions to race cars in trailers(made to exempt the small time racer); unless the trailer has an ad supporting the theory that the race car is professionally sponsored and paid for by the sponsor.
