Hi - my RV is about 130 feet from my septic tank. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about running a hose that far from a macerator pump? Is it possible? Any solutions or ideas about this are appreciated. Thanks

I have a DIY macerator pump - pump easily to a sewer cleanup through 150' of garden hose.

You can run it any distance, as long as you have slope in the line so it will drain. It will be awfully hard to keep the sewer hose clean and will require a lot of flushing with the gray tank or a water hose. I wouldn't do it. I would use a macerator setup. JMHO

Sure it's possible. I would use the largest dia hose I could get my hands on.

5/8" minimum.

If you can and it won't be unsightly or an issue, I would use 1" pvc pipe and make a permanent line. Connect the macerator and when you're done, flush with some water.

Again, a macerator will usually do that well though that distance, you probably can't have much, if any uphill part of the hose run. I use a FloJet with a 3/4" hose and at 50 feet, the max length I've used, there is still significant pressure/flow. I tried it with a 5/8" hose and while it did the job OK, the 3/4 " hose works better and of course, much more expensive.

You can also make up a 1" PVC line with garden hose connectors (Home Depot/Lowe's/ Amazon) and a short lengths of regular hose to connect to the PVC at each end

Not sure what the max is but we do 250' on occasion.

When we go "home" we often stay at ours sons business, I had a 50amp plug installed on the building next to where we park. The water and sewer are about 250 feet away.
We use the blue Zero G hoses to fill our fresh water tank when needed.

The waste, we bought a FloJet Macerator and if I remember correctly 1" garden hose. There is pretty much no slope where we are. We have never had any major issues.
Since we usually do not use the FloJet I've found it's a good idea to spray some lube into the macerator and rotate the blades with a screwdriver to loosen everything up. We have blown a few fuses so I keep extras on hand. Just be sure not to run it more than about 5 minutes then let it cool. Just like the regular dumping we do black 1st, grey 2nd and the hose is only used for this purpose.

How much do you want to spend? Is this a one time use or a forever install? Do you want to be able to have company who can use the dump as well? Does it freeze where you are at?

A macerator would easily take care of your immediate needs. 130' no problem, HF sells a cheap 3/4" hose that would work well for you. If you plan a permanent install, check with you local septic tank company and inquire about a permanent pump install. Needs 1.5-2" pvc pipe in a trench below frostline connected to the gravity drain into your septic tank. You dump into a tank as needed and the pump takes care of the rest. If you are handy, it's an easy DIY install and you total cost should be around 3000. You could also do a more limited use system using one of the basement sewer pump up tanks and pumps. That one would be about 1/2 the cost but is a more limited use system.

I wouldn't try to use 3/4" hose/pipe at that distance, that would have a lot of back pressure that would make the pump labor hard (and draw a lot of amps). A bigger hose, at least an inch, would work much better. And be less likely to clog. I used 1-1/4" for a run of about 60 ft.

Pickup a roll of 1" black plastic, sprinkler line, and use that. Smooth, low friction, inexpensive, solution.

You can even bury it a few inches down in the ground.
