McMahons RV!!! My experience

I was posting in the other McMahons RV thread but I think my experience deserves a new thread. I originally cosigned my coach with McMahons on Oct. 15 2011. They sold it and it left their lot on Nov. 29. Their contract and Calif. law states myself and the leinholder must be paid off within 20 days. It has now been 31 days and neither myself or my bank has been paid. I have left over 2 dozen messages for 8 different people at 3 different locations. Out of the 2 dozen messages, I have received one return call from a gentleman at the main office who said he would look into my situation and call me back. He has not called me back, that was 3 days ago. I have file a complaint with the DMV who said they have received many complaints of various matters against McMahons. I also finally retained an attorney. The interest on the loan is still running which I have to pay for, at least for now. Please be careful. I know of 2 others at this time experiencing the same problem.

How can they transfer the title if it has a lien on it?? If I was the new buyer, would I not know that there is a lien on the property I am buying?? Don't the lien follow the new title??

They probably haven't applied for a new title for the new owner yet. So the new owner is also in a bind.

The new owner is waiting for McMahons to process the paper work. I'm sure they have no idea what is going on.

So the new owner purchased an RV... and a lien? I guess he would have had to pay cash as the new lender would have wanted to be the main (and only) lienholder??

Seems to be an ongoing problem with McMahons now. Probably playing the "float" to stay in business.

Yes, but they seem to be finding ways to go around some pretty basic safeguards...

Hi Folks,
I'm going to close this thread since it seems to be a reoccurring business practice of McMahon's not to pay outstanding loans on RV's taken in trade and has been discussed at length in the other thread. The OP has stated that he has hired an attorney so there's not much more we can offer.

Thanks to all who gave assistance.
