Meanwhile at the Cracker Barrel...
What irks me is that there was plenty of car parking available closer to the restaurant.

I ended up parking over 7 regular car spots. I'm sure somebody commented on my inconsiderate and selfish parking and how I should have parked in the designated RV spots.

Last time I was in a Cracker Barrel our table was sticky, our order was wrong after waiting over 40 minutes and then the lady next to us had a cockroach INSIDE her biscuit.
We left and have never been to once since.
Parking ,,,,,,,not an issue. Food/Service trumped that

Haven’t had service issues yet knock on wood. Cracker barrels are my favorite place to boodock and have breakfast while traveling. I just wish they’d go back to pre-Covid hours. They open at seven now instead of…I think they used to open at six.

You should have put a big note on their windshield "RESERVED PARKING- TOW TRUCK ON THE WAY!"

That same RV parking situation occurs at the Cracker Barrel near us. Every time we are there, several 4 wheeler are parked in those spots.

For quite a while now I have been using a couple of sayings, usually regarding campground rules that so many fellow campers ignore, and it applies here too. It's easy, anyone can do it. You only have to memorize 4-5 words depending on the application. Add the following words to any rule or restriction you come across:
"Unless you want to." or "Unless you don't want to."
Now the grammar might not be correct when you apply the exemption, as in the situation with this sign, but what's important is the intent. You could make it more versatile by adding ellipsis points after the words. In the case of the sign it would be to imply the words following to the four word phrase: Unless you want to. . . park your car here.
Simple, now you try it. Read any sign or rule and add those four or five words. Neat huh? Fits every situation I've come across where rules or restrictions are involved, and I see it being applied almost daily. It's universal, and it's amazing how often it's silently invoked by people of all walks of life, and of all ages.
Reminds me of the funny trick of adding the words: . . . "in bed" to any fortune cookie saying.
Ok, everyone. Tonight's assignment is to apply the exemption to 5 rules. You can use campground rules if you'd like. Everyone should have some handy. Let me start by using examples I've seen in this campground today. For clarification, I'll add the ellipsis points and the additional words.
1. Speed limit 15mph. Unless you want to . . . drive faster
2. All pets must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet. Unless you want to . . . use a 20 foot leash or no leash at all.
3. No parking on the grass. Unless you want to.
4. Only two vehicles per site. Unless you want to park more . . . see rule #3.
5 Check in time is 2pm . . . unless you want to show up at 10am.

Camping out in the desert, woods, or mountains: Boondocking
Staying overnight at Cracker Barrel, Walmart, Home Depot, etc.: Overnight parking.
BIG difference

I just used a slang term most everyone on this forum uses for overnighting without hookups, and it was less letters to type. You know what I meant. That comment helps this thread how?
I think the term “toad” is dumb but I use it also.
