Received an offer from AAA today offering to provide emergency assistance if involved in a medical emergency while travelling. (I'm trying to parse my words as delicately as they did in their sales pitch). It's not medical insurance and it's not travel insurance. It's assistance in a travel-related incident that requires inpatient care.

The AAA Emergency Assistance+ looks very similar to FMCAssist that all FMCA members receive as a benefit of their annual membership. The annual cost of an FMCA membership is $75 which includes FMCAssist --> https://www.fmca.com/why-join-fmca
Mike & Cindy,
Thanks for the info on FMCA. Certainly sounds like a better deal.
