I also live in the country in the south east and there are critters of all types including the field mice looking for a winter home. Several years ago I had an influx of them and I took soap bars, something with smell, and put in several places in the RV. No more problem for me after that through a few different RVs. I used Irish Spring which has a fairly strong "perfume". A bar soap is more desirable to mothballs at least for me.
Opened up one year to Find the Irish Spring almost completely EATEN -
- Not sure I would be able to second that Recommendation - For us the only thing that works are TRAPS - lots of Traps.
These work - easy.........use them again and again.
