MICE

Getting to be the time of year folks start thinking of parking their rv more or even for the end of the season so I thought I would just post this.

I noticed I had field mice having just the time of their short life running around a stone retaining wall if have. Told myself I better end this before they multiply or what ever they do. Now I am not sure if field mice will seek out an rv or not but just in case they would I wanted to post this.

I put some boxed mashed potato on the ground and within 24 hours no more field mice. They eat it and it expands making a short life. My thought was if you park your rv outside you might want to rid the little guys before winter.

The boxed mash potatoes sounds like a great idea. I hope they don't come back buffed out and stronger.

Yea, I park inside. We bought our unit last year mid October. We got into a garage around e beginning of November. I think we already had a mouse crawled up in it somewhere and died. It ties forever to get the smell out.

I think I will try this,I keep the MH at my brothers place and we have mice problems all the time. They are field mice and even get into his car in the winter.

I had one that was camping above my horizontal propane tank and occasionally found evidence on top of my slide out generator. I didn't beleive in them, but I tried one of the ultrasonic devices. My motor home is parked between a wall and my house. The wall, about mid coach has the outlet that powers the coach. I plugged the ultrasonic deivce in so that it was pointed toward the coach, about two feet away and in the middle of the coach. I haven't had issues since. I do know if it's coincidence or not.
