Dave - Awesome job! Did you do the work yourself? Was there much woodwork involved? What brand dishwasher did you choose? Any issues with water/draining? Fit?
Thanks for any answers, we're thinking of doing the same thing.

I am single, so cooking is not something I do often, or large. I just don't have much counter space. What I have is between the sink and stove. I manage OK, but would like to have a toaster oven, as I NEVER use the on-board oven.

I was looking to find a toaster oven that would fit inside the gas oven, then run the cord out the back heat vent and just plug into a recepticle up top. That way, if I ever sold this MH, the stove would still be there for the buyer.

Right now I use the oven for storing my pots and pans. They all fit inside a tub on the top rack, then skillets and such on the other racks. I just slide out the tub to get my pots, lids etc.

Nothing beats a "toasted" left-over piece of pizza. And 'baked' potatoes.

Marilyn,
The dishwasher is a Kitchen Aid. Purchased it on ebay (new). I also bought an almost new SS stove top. There was a bit of wood work but less if you don't need the drawer (the louvers were the hardest part). The dishwasher is 23 1/2" wide (a couple of inches wider than the stove). Measure to make sure you have enough room as they very by brand too. All the hook-ups are teed into the sink and there have been no issues. Send me a PM and I'll forward a bunch of installation photos.

Dave

I was hoping to get more response to this thread,
I know there is a lot of mods out there that people
would like to see I know I would, there is always
something you can change in your RV the lights
for one all RVs have the same lights throughout
there RV with the 921 bulb in them,I have changed
three area's with two with led one with spotlight
looking to replace the spotlight bulb with led.
first one I replaced two half lights 921 bulb with
two 18 led lights over back window,
next two double 921 lights with single light with silver
ring, last replaced double 921 with spotlight over sofa
so DW can knit and the light does not bother me
at night when watching tv.
I added picture of the light thats in all rvs
it's the second pic if everybody didn't know

Pull-out Counter Top Extension

Here is a simple addition to most any kitchen area. The Corian was left-over from another project and I made the slides out of some scrap wood. The hard part was cutting the slot in the cabinet frame. Corian works and cuts like wood any you can use the same tools.

Also upgraded the landing legs so that I have two motors and not the old style one motor with a rod. Got tired of rebuilding the gears. Old system just was not strong enough to do the heavy lifting. New system is able to be individually adjusted for height and is rated for 12,000#s.

Almost forgot - added a kitchen type spray to the toilet. OK - that just doesn't sound right. It does not spray up. That would be OK but only if I could run warm water through it. upgraded the tires to G614's because I blew out all the Goodyear Marithons(sp?) and added a tire pressure/temp. monitoring system that monitors all ten tires (dually truck and 5er). Had a Pioneer AVnav system installed (7" screen)and I am looking for a wireless back-up camera that will work on this. It is designed for one. When I bought the '07 Duramax 3500 it had an after market dual exhaust pipe but it was not installed correctly so it is now a 4" straight pipe without muffler or cat. converter. This is legal where I live.

Wish DW would let me install a dishwasher but she says she has one (me) and does not want to lose the cabnet space.

I love the dishwasher, but you have no cook top? Are you doing all your cooking outside? We don't use the oven either but my DW would not do without burners.

That's what I was wondering. If you don't cook, there can't be too many dishes to wash!!

I'm working on replacing both TV's. Removed the old (outdated) 27" from the front and replaced it with a 37" LG LED. Also added a LG Blu-ray home theater system. Having new cabinet doors made for the cabinets along side of the TV as the originals were hinged from the top and would not clear the TV. Replacements, 2 per side, will he hinged from the sides. Below the TV is the center speaker and the Ipod dock.

I've removed the rear TV and am waiting for delivery of the a LG 26" LED and another Peerless mount. I'm going to try to mount this one on a top hinged panel that will allow access to all the space in the cabinet behind it.

I haven't done much, in fact they're mostly simple things I got from members here and there. But if they help I'll contribute. Blog link is in the signature line.

Fred,

Yes I have a cook top. Same brand as the oven I took out so it was a perfect fit. I actually ended up with more storage space than with the oven (which we use for storage space). The drawer is 24" deep and 22" wide and 8" tall so you can stack a lot of cookware in it!

Keep the mods coming, like seeing them here
don't want to go all over the internet looking
for mods.
We all get good ideas to pass onto
each other
