Molding cleaning

I sm attempting to clean the vinyl molding on my Dutchmen RV. The molding has been discolored due to sun and has turned brown with tiny raised spots on it. Tried most cleaners and even steel wool to no avail. Really tough stuff. Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Gary

Is this the snap in rubber moulding that covers the aluminum edge moulding screws? If so replace it. Its pretty cheap and easy to replace. Otherwise carefully wipe with a rag dipped in acetone.

If you're referring to the outside plastic trim that is no longer white, then I'm afraid you're fighting a losing battle. As the plastic ages it no longer looks white and no cleaner will help it.

Thanks. Acetone helped but only after scrubbing with a stainless steel pad
