Motorhome Fire

Motorhome Fire at Hart Ranch RV Resort in Rapid City So Dakota last week. Fortunately no one was injured. The Fire was caused by a propane leak at the refer. Both rigs on either side were also damaged.

Glad it was just property that was lost!

How was it determined that fire was due to propane leak and not electrical, overheated fridge cabinet or some other cause???

Or was it suspected that propane was involved??

Not exactly much left to investigate.

I agree! They must have been having problems before the fire!

Fridge fire?

Might not have been a propane leak that started it. The refrigerant used in almost all RV refrigerators is a mix of ammonia and HYDROGEN! Remember the Hindenburg?!? If they were running on propane and developed a coolant leak, that might be what started the fire; the propane would have just been added fuel after the fire was already going.
