When did the Motorhome crowed decide that they own RV's and not motor homes?

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Motorhome with slide-out extended floors
"RV" redirects here. For research vessels, see R/V. For other uses, see RV (disambiguation).

A recreational vehicle (RV) is a motor vehicle or trailer which includes living quarters designed for temporary accommodation.[1][2] Types of RVs include motorhomes, campervans, caravans (also known as travel trailers and camper trailers), fifth-wheel trailers, popup campers and truck campers.

Big insurance $ difference between motor homes (mh) and travel trailers (tt). Class A, B, C are vehicles, and we call them RVs. The rest are tt and 5ths.

We have had insurance on both a motorhome and a travel trailer and both were thru Progressive's "RV" insurance.

Coats a bunch more to stay in a Motorhome Resort for the night than in an RV Park.

X2. A better question is why is moving from a trailer/5th wheel to a motor home a move up? When did MH's become the pinnacle of RVing? Most importantly, am I on the bottom rung with my travel trailer?

What really amazes me is the number of people who will mistakingly call any Brandy Cognac when everyone knows all Cognac is Brandy but clearly not all Brandy is Cognac.

A 5th wheel, trailer, or motorhome can make a very big difference in the answer.

I started this because a poster said he had 3 motorhomes in the past but this was his first RV. I had no idea what the hell he was talking about.
Maybe his motorhomes were money pits and there was no recreation with it.
