Interesting article on MSNBC about RVing. I thought an interesting point was "people worrying about taking on payments they can't make." Huh?
As I currently am (after 14 years)RVless, I watch with great interest. I would like to return to the fold. In all the discussions amongst the experts, they do not hit my reason at this time. It is not exactly the high fuel prices, but more specifically how high will fuel go.

There are still enough of us out there who wish to rv that there will always be some company there to provide us with a replacement.
I remember gas at 25 cents a gallon and cars for 3000 dollars and the time when people said it was getting too expensive to drive and yet people still drive and will continue to do so.
I see similar layoffs and closings of car companys like studebaker and International. And yet we survived as did the market provide by other companies. So it will be with rvs.

OMG I remember them too. Dang and I thought I was just a youngster yet. LOL I remember when we used to build rvs out of old milk trucks for people to use when camping. Remember the Chevy Chinook or the Dodge Spicer??

I pumped gas when it was 27.9 cents a gallon. I pumped diesel in my Ford F-350 today at 4.15 a gallon. I made .50 cents an hour then, and I make........well a lot more today.....I am putting my coach on the road every chance I get...I love it.

My first class A motorhome was a new 1971 Winnebago--MSRP $10,000, gas was $.30/gal. My current motorhome a 2006 Allegro Bay had a MSRP of $142,000, gas is now $3.30/gal. Gas has increased 11X, my motorhomes 14.2X. It looks like gas hasn't increased as much as motorhomes.
