Exclamation Mushroom antenna 12V power boost

I have a new 2019 Keystone Halfton Cougar 5th wheel. This is my 4th RV, but for the life of me, I cannot find the antenna booster panel. All of my other RV's, it was where you plugged in the TV and had a green light to indicate when on. My last Forrest River T/T had the little mushroom omni directional non picking up piece of junk. I changed it to a King with the powered boost and it was great. This new 5th wheel has the useless mushroom on top, but where is the 12v boost. I have taken off the cover behind the TV in the LR area, and all of the other places to hook up a TV, inside and out. I'm guessing this does not have a 12v boost, but all of my other RV's had them. I'm wanting to install a better antenna since we go to some areas that does not have cable. I have a Dish Playmaker, but I still want a good standard antenna for backup use. I called Camping World, what a waste of time, but they did give the phone number to Keystone, of which they are closed already. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can't help you find the antenna booster panel in your rig, but want to welcome you to the forum. I'm sure someone with the more expertise than me will soon post some helpful info.

Google your antenna and ask if power booster is required...

Try looking for the second antenna connection. In my older motorhome there are two antenna outlets and the power was located near the secondary one in the back. According to your owners manual that also indicates that the power injector is near one of the two locations.

Mushroom antenna 12v power boost

I have a sheet of paper saying the antenna is boosted, but I've removed all TV hookup panels, inside and out, and have not yet found one. It's the same style as my last RV T/T, and its boost panel was next to the main TV hookup in the LR area.

Hi! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Congrats on the new rig! Sorry, don't know anything about Keystone. Have fun and keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

If you have a video source selector switch (aka Box of Many Buttons" or BOMB), it probably has the 12v power for the booster amp right in the box and activated when you select "Antenna" as the source. The amp itself is in the antenna; the switch just provides power via the coax.

Reading the instructions from the manufacturer and from Keystone, both say it is suppose to have an amplifier. If it does and if it's on, there should be 12v+ at the cable jack. There is no voltage on any plug for any TV. I have 2 inside and 2 outside. I have removed the all covers and there is a splitter behind each cover. One cable coming from the inside wall connected to the splitter, and then other side, the side exposed, it has 2 female jacks, one for cable and one for satellite. The splitter is being "feed/send" signal travels in one coax cable to the main source, but where is the amp located? This is my 4th RV, I've replaced the antenna and boost on the other 3, but this one is either not there from factory or hidden in a wall somewhere without access to turn on or off.

This is what all 4 connection look like. The blue light just tells that the RV has power, either shore or the battery. Turning the switch below the blue light turns all power off.

KeyTV

I finally found my answer to the antenna issue. Keystone has a new TV system in their 2019's RV's. It is not covered in my booklets or manufacturers antenna papers.

Here is a link to Keystone with an explanation on their new system.
