Mystery Bracket
Does anyone have a clue what this might be, it is a heavy steel bracket, of the thickness I would associate with a hitch assembly or base plate. I found it along with the associated nuts and bolts tied up in a plastic bag tucked around into a blind corner inside one of the rear cargo compartments on my coach while I was tracing a wire trying to determine why my center brake light was not working. In case this helps any the coach is a 2002 P32 chassis, and the previous owner had some suspension upgrades done including Super Steer bell cranks, Super Steer track bar and a Safe-T Plus steering stabilizer.
It is not important, just wondering if anyone knew what this is.
p.s. sorry there is nothing there for scale it is about 10-12 inches long, screw hole in the golf cart deck just above the hole in the bracket is 8 inches from the left side of the deck

Yep, it is definitely a miscellaneous bracket with an assortment of nuts and bolts. I am sure it was at one time useful.

It has the right configuration for a bell crank so it might be one, but I don't know for sure.

Possibly an original part taken off to perform the upgrade.

That looks like the kind of thing that I would keep, just in case. Many years later I usually wonder why I kept it and sometimes I can't even remember where it came from. Whatever it is, it sure does look like a good one!

The first thing that came to mind is an alternator, air pump or power steering pump bracket.

" By jove Holmes, I think you've got it!" Haha
Now that you mention, it sure looks like that sort of bracket. To me it looks like there was a problem aligning the bolt holes and someone tried to re-drill the middle hole.

Next time I have the dog house cover off I will check the shape of the brackets, maybe that is it, but it does feel a bit thicker than those typically are.

It was important at one time, because they kept it. But now it's another time, so it might not be important any longer.

Loved your answer SKP Kirk. How many times in life this is so true on many levels. DW and I had a good laugh.

Removing parts.
When I have a spare RV part I place it in a zip lock bag and label it with a permanent marker. In case i get senile. When i die and the person sorting through my belongings will say nice things about me for doing this.
