National RV Battery Charging Schematic

Helping my neighbor trouble shoot his battery charging circuit. Finding chassis and house batteries are connected through a relay that is controlled by? We are thinking this relay is faulty as it is connecting house and chassis batteries together. This could be a big problem if one or the other set goes bad and drains all power from the MH. He has a National RV product, Tropical model, about 2003 or so.

I saw a discussion on this site several years ago about the same question. One of the participants indicated they had a schematic for these MH's and would be posting. Do not see anything in the files section, so I am hoping someone my have some info that will assist us in trouble shooting his charging problems.

Thank you

Dave B.

Our MH is 2005 Dolphin, but here is the 12v/120v wiring diagram.

Hope it helps.

The Battery Control board was supplied by:
R V Custom Products
14000 Anson Avenue, Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670(562) 921-8353.

The interconnect relay (left side of the schematic) is very likely the issue, however the relay is controlled by the circuit board.

If you decide to change the relay go to Amazon and look for a 12V continuous duty relay, may be a "Golf Cart" item, around $30.00, not the $70.00 listed on the RV Products web site.

Hope this helps.
