The DW and I spent most the day at the NC fair grounds, as we do each year, just to see who and what is out there in the market. Although the weather was great, the numbers of people, new RVs and "sold" signs seemed to be much lower than the last few years. Even the number of high and midrange motor homes were reduced from the previous years, as it appeared the dealers were focusing on the entry level units.

There were some tempting units available and we did find some new gadgets and upgrades ideas for the Bounder. But it appears, from the numbers we observed and the lack of laughing and smiling faces from the sales staff, it will be a tough year. If you have cash or credit in hand, I am sure there is a deal waiting for you.

This was just my personal observation and they may sell everything on the lot today but I wouldn't bet the farm on it.

I also have a 2007 35e. My wife and I love the floor plan. It looks like the 2008 has pass through storage and is missing the walkie talkies. What upgrades did you see?

dickfrompasadena,

It took the wife and I over 6 months to find the floor plan that met each of our needs and desires. One of the first units we looked at was the 35e and we kept comparing all other units to it.

Based on both of our observations, the major interior cosmetic change was cleaner low-profile lighting fixtures under the cabinets and on the ceiling. I did not notice the missing walkie-talkies because I rarely use my own. I really wanted to see a Bounder with the Samsung LCD HDTV's but all had the standard TV's. The pass through storage could be useful but we have plenty of room under the driver's slide for longer items. The 35e appeared to have a different trailer hitch that brought the receiver down a few inches...very nice for those of us with 10" dropdowns to get within the 4" tow bar tolerance.

Some of the changes (lighting, TV's and Hitch) may be incorporated in our 07 over time and I know we can live without the others changes and remain very happy.
