Need 5th wheel repair in Hudson River valley or now almost anywhere
I started a thread for this back in January but tried updating it and it says it's too old.
Thanks pfc263 for the Len-Rich RV repair reference.
It's only Rich now. He seems like a really nice guy and capable, but I can't get his attention so gotta widen my search. I'd rather drive far for a good reference than settle for just close.
Rich had our 5th wheel for a month and because of his circumstances, didn't do anything to it so we had to pick it up for our planned trip. One slide doesn't work and the one rear jack won't let either of the two back ones drop.
After a few weeks I stopped in and asked when he would have time for it. He said in a few weeks but wanted to stop by the house and reacquaint himself with the issues. Texted him twice. He said he'd come by. No show. No response. I'm thinking I need to find somebody else. So it doesn't have to be that close to me. They have to be good.
And thanks for the other references. We're about 45 minutes from Port Jervis but I would need to hear good stories from people about them before I commit. I would try the Albany place, too, if there were enough yes votes.
Getting desperate. Hopefully I'll find someone good...
