Does anyone have any information on an outfit called RVBUYERSUSA LLC? They have made an offer on our 2012 Bounder but I can't seem to find much information about them.

It's unlikely to be a good offer but almost acceptable. They prey on those that are tired of the game of selling. Could you get more? Yes eventually. If you are willing to take a lot less than you want to sell immediately then by all means get your money from them. Make sure you have actual cash in hand (check cleared) before paperwork is signed and delivery is made. Can you get a better deal? Of course you can if you are willing to wait. If you really need to sell now then it is what it is.

A good idea is get your bank involved and let them handle all the money transfers. Stay out of it personally... you negotiate the deal and let them handle all the movement of money

I have sold several vehicles, including two RVs, to wholesale buyers. My thoughts are the same as a mouse in a trap. I am no longer interested in the cheese, I just want out of the trap. If you can live with their offer, forget about the extra dollars you possibly could get if you take on a part time salesman's position with one RV in inventory and move on. And the difference in price from what you can get and what the wholesaler is offering is often not that much. That wholesaler has access to market knowledge that allows him to transport the RV to the hottest markets. He likely has sources to detail the rig, fix the flaws and get the rig in the best condition to sell for the least amount of money. Your only concern should be making sure the money is good. There has already been a post with the best advice, use your bank's expertise.

There was a post on a Facebook group not long ago where one of the members was looking for a quick sale. He said RVBuyersUSA offered him 10 thousand below his insurance company’s FMV which is almost always ridiculously low.

They are like the "we buy houses for cash" firms you see advertising on TV that offer 60-70% of tax appraisal.

There is surprisingly little known about the company and what little there is seems "iffy". If you Google 'RVBUYERSUSA review' you find lots of ads and a few reports that are vague but indicate some skepticism. One would think that an outright scam would have at least a few serious complaints.

Be very careful about accepting oddball payment terms and checks and handing over the title. Even allegedly "certified" checks can be faked these days. Make sure any check has actually cleared, not just accepted for deposit in your account. Your bank with pull the account credit back if the check doesn't clear thru the ACH.

That said, any business buying RVs for resale has to give you a low price, i.e. wholesale value. Probably less than wholesale, since they also have to cover their expense in buying and picking up the RV and getting it to a retail outlet somewhere. I would have to believe their offer would be less than even a local dealer would pay. If that's ok with you, well, it's your money. However, I would think private buyer would also be very interested at or near that price .

If you don't want the hassle of selling it yourself take your last trip to PPL Consignment in Houston. They'll recommend a price but we named our own price because we figured everyone wants to come down. We sold ours with a month for the price we put on it. I'd highly recommend it. They get a LOT of business.
