Not sure exactly what you are looking for. There are like 6 state park camp grounds in the area. Go to rvparky and take a look at options

Falls River SRA is 30 minutes away,
Jordan Lake SRA is 45 minutes away
Kerr Lake SRA is about an hour, maybe a little more during rush hour.

NC State Fairgrounds is about 30 minutes away.

The SRAs have water, electric, and dump stations, but I think they have a 14 or 21 day limit, and the State Fair is FHU and I'm not sure about a stay limit.

We stayed a few days at the NC Fairground RV facility when my mother was a patient at Rex in Raleigh. Nice place with 50 amps and full hookups. It’s $30/ night. The state parks have only water and 30 amp service with a dump station. At the fairgrounds RV park they do not take reservations you can call ahead to find out availability and call when you arrive and someone will meet you and collect for the site you choose. There is a two week limit but my understanding is that they can be flexible.

Jones Station RV Park in Mebane about 15 miles West of Durham. Full hookup out in the country a bit. Mebane is a bedroom community for a lot of hospital employees in the area. (We lived there for 5 years)

As you’re searching for a home, Orange County will be more expensive / higher taxes than Alamance County (Mebane is split in 1/2 by the 2 counties).

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions on the area.
