Need some help finding model number!

Hello! I'm a newbie and thought I'd start here to see if any of you have experienced similar issues.
I'm trying to purchase a used coach (2006 Gulf Stream Conquest Ultra SE). NADA does not show the model made in that year and the bank doesn't like that.
The label in the coach says MFG date is 5/06. The chassis is also dated 3/06. I've read some articles stating the coach year is usually dated a year later than the chassis. The current owner thinks maybe the state titled it incorrectly as an 06 instead of an 07. The problem is that NADA doesn't show that exact model as an 07 either.. Not sure what to do. Any thoughts? Anyone been down the same road? Thanks!

Welcome to iRV2.

The introduction of different models and differences in chassis production dates verses final production dates ; can be problematic... to say the least .

Usually model year designation doesn't take place till September of the year ( so 09/06 would be sold as a 2007 model) and any bare chassis in the manufacturers yard would be built as 2007. Personally I don't think a manufacturer would have chassis sitting for a full year , 3 or 4 months maybe.
The model name may have been introduced as a prototype ; a late season change in production meant to be a lead in for the coming year , but some times due to limited demand , or problems with the name itself , the model designation disappears .
If you have access to the 2007 brochures , can you see if the floor plan; of the 2006; shows up under a different name plate, where the floor plan wasn't available in 2006.
Good Luck , hope you get this issue sorted out.

Not "usually". "Sometimes" would be much more accurate. The title is most likely correct.

Unlike with cars, NADA is not a reliable source for RV model information. Your bank probably lacks the expertise in RV transactions to comprehend that, but it's a fact. RV manufacturers add or drop models at whim and the NADA RV Guide just captures a snapshot at a point in time and rarely gets updated if the manufacturer changes the lineup. Unlike with cars, there is no ongoing sales or auction feedback that would cause an update. Probably won't make your bank any happier, but it's doesn't mean anything is wrong with the title.

I see several Conquest Ultra SE sub-models in the online NADA RV Guide. Is yours a different floor plan or chassis than the ones shown? I see M6211, M6255, M6290, M6296 and M6316, in Ford and Chevy chassis versions.

OP, what's the model number you have? Someone here might be able to get some information for you.

Thanks for the help! It all makes sense. Hopefully we can get to the bottom of it! The model is W6316SB. I have the Gulf Stream serial # too, hoping to get some info from them tomorrow.
