Need tips for winter storage of RV

Hi everyone!

Just wondering what you all do to prepare your rigs for winter storage. We live in Indiana and it gets quite cold here. We're wondering what we should bring inside for the winter. We've pretty much stocked our fifth wheel with everything we need....in other words duplicated what we have in our home kitchen so we can just up and go without needing to transfer a lot of things from home every time we travel. But we're worried about leaving things out in the cold winter weather.....things like small appliances (Griddler, toaster, blender, etc), DVDs, containers of disinfectant wipes and alcohol based cleansers and/or dish soap (will they freeze?), batteries, flashlights with batteries in them. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. We'd obviously like to leave as many things as possible in the RV over the winter.

Hello from Ontario, Canada
We also get hit with below freezing temps each year and need to prepare our RV for the Winter.
We put ours away in late October, then re-open the RV to head to Florida in January.
Between 25 years of Boating, and now 7 years of RVing, we have determined that many things can easily stay in the unit during freezing temps.
We DO NOT leave any food, beverages, cleaners, lubricants, toiletries, liquid soaps etc. in the RV.
We DO leave all the appliances, TV's, bedding, linens in the RV as the cold will not affect them.
If you have roof vent covers, leave the vents open min.2" for ventilation.
The Max Air covers will not let any rain / snow in.
We place dryer fabric sheets throughout the RV to keep rodents out.
As with any Boat or RV, they should be put into hibernation totally cleaned inside and out to avoid coming back to a dirty unit.
I take it that you have already done the Winterizing of the plumbing system.
I hope this offers some assistance in the tasks of Winter prep.

Yes, TV's were another thing we wondered about. Good to know the cold won't affect the electrical appliances. We don't have to worry about winterizing (yet). Unfortunately we had a little mishap on our recent trip and tore off the awnings on our rig. We'll be taking it to the dealer's service center for an extended period of time, so we'll just have them winterize for us this time. So dryer sheets work to prevent rodents? I had also heard that mice like them to shred for their nests. But you've found them to be effective?

I gotta go with the mice making nests out of dryer sheets. They were neatly stuffed into the intake manifold depressions.
