Negotiating a Deal

How much less than the asking price will a dealer normally accept on a used Class A?

It all depends! A couple years ago when we bought our current MH, we offered $20k less then what the dealer was asking. After a few months of going back and forth, we settled on about $12K less then what the dealer was asking. I think that at the time we got a fair price on it.
Look around and see what the same style MH is going for on other sites/dealers. If the MH is in real good condition and something that you really want, then you may be willing to pay a little more for it. How long has the dealer/seller had the MH on the market? If it has been for sale for a long period of time, then they may be more willing to work on the price.

I don't think there's a set percentage. Start at the lowest you think it's worth and negotiate from there to the most you'd pay for it.

It's a game, so play along. Comparison shop and make an offer.

Don't fall in "love" with any MH you are looking at. If the price isn't what you want to spend be willing to walk away. Sometimes infatuation takes control of your wallet.

I'd suggest looking at RVTrader.com for comparable units. It'd be nice if the units you're looking at are popular, common MH's--where numerous such coaches are listed on the used retail market.
