Been to the new one in Richmond, Kentucky, but may not return. Too zooey

And, I bet the RV spaces in VA will be filled with cars just like Cracker Barrel Bus/RV parking spaces.

We live about an hour from Gatlinburg, and they are building the worlds largest Buc-Eee's off I-40 exit 407. Over 200 pumps and about 72K square feet of retail space. I think there are also plans to build a small amusement park next to Buc-Eee's.

The traffic on this exit is already bad, so I can't imagine what it will be when Buc-Eee's opens next month. I'll be taking the back way into Gatlinburg more often to avoid the traffic.

With all that said, I know my wife will want to go. I heard the brisket is pretty good.

I agree with you. The RV spaces will either be occupied by cars or big trucks. They are building it right next to a Loves truck stop so I’m sure they’ll have plenty of big trucks going over there.

Truthfully, I think they are making a mistake building this new one in VA. That route, I-64, is only busy in the warm months with folks going to VA Beach. The winter months, I-64 is a ghost town because no one is going to the beach. We intentionally make several trips to Williamsburg for the sole reason it’s off season with fewer people and reduced off season rates.

We love Buc-ees! Always stop at them. Great BBQ made fresh on site. We also overnite there on the way to our destination. They have the cleanest restrooms on the hwy.

cowboy70 be aware overnight RV parking is officially not allowed at Buc-ees, unless they have changed their policy in the last couple of years.

True, same as a lot of businesses RVers overnight at. An official CYA.
But, if you go in ask, I have never had them say no. In fact, they are most polite and accomodating.

This is strange everything I have ever read online says Buc-ees is strictly no overnight or extended parking.

Has not been my experience, at least in the TX locations. They just tell me where they would prefer that I park, and not to unhook or unload anything.

I'm sure the new VA location will do well. The county population in 2020 was only about 22K. The land was probably cheap compared to other areas and Richmond and Norfolk etc are spreading like bamboo.

Visited the Daytona location in our car on the way to Disney, it was an experience for sure, we tow our 5th wheel with a HDT, class 8 tractor so they do not let us on their property, as they have numerous "No Semi signs" but we use TSD for fuel and actually like the Enmark stations off of I-95

Hi, We just stayed there on our way to Florida and back in December. Never saw any signs prohibiting overnighting. The lot had many RV's and pick up trucks with car trailers staying over night. We did not ask if we could stay....just parked. No one ever said anything to us. We did spend a lot of money there in fuel, food, snacks etc. Even if we don't overnight, Buc-ees is a regular stop for us. Great for easy fueling with our toad.

When are they opening? We're staying in Toano for a few days in Apr.
