I had heard that CW was planning to open a large store including RV sales and service in Roanoke but figured the present economic situation might cause that decision to be postponed. Today, I visited a newly-opened Gander Mountain store and lo and behold, there is a huge CW building under construction at the same location right off the Hollins exit of I-81. I counted 12 service bays.

I'm still surprised to see this in view of the soft RV market. However, we don't have anything similar in our region and the proximity to I-81 may be a factor in their decision to proceed.

I am looking forward to it...do you have a grand opening date yet? I made the trek to the Winchester Gander Mountain/Camping World combo and loved it!

Nothing posted near the store. The building is still in the early stages of construction.
