New Dometic Problems

Last June our refrigerator failed due to a leak in the gas system. We found an RV tech that could replace it while in the park. He installed a new Dometic that fit the cut out perfectly.

Since it was installed the freezer door will not seal properly and the frost build up at the top of the door happens very quickly. Not sure how this can be corrected. I chip the frost off about every 3 or 4 days.

The refrigerator door handle has broke twice. I have used super glue in an attempt to repair it without success. Not sure what I will be able to do to correct that issue.

This refrigerator seems to be a piece of junk compared to the original one.

We are about 6 weeks from finishing this trip. Perhaps I can get some warranty work done to correct then.

Please don't tell me to install a house type unit. We run on gas some of the time and I prefer that capability.

I have a new, bought in May' toy hauler and the Dometic LP/Electric fridge has been nothing but trouble. Would not work on electric. Had the heating elements replaced for 700.00 of which Dometic paid 336.00 under warranty. If I had known how easy it was I would have done it myself. Now it will not work on LP. It lights, then goes out and flashes LP. On electric it will work for a while then code E3. It has also had Code E0, E1 and E2. Calling Dometic is like talking to a 2 year old. I have an appointment with the dealer to have it looked at next week.
