New England winter pest control

We have one more trip planned end of October then it’s time to winterize the rig. What are some tricks folks use to keep out pest like mice? Do you cover your rig?
I’ve had luck with dryer sheets everywhere and I’ve heard some folks use peppermint spray to deter the little buggers away. I’m just looking for other ideas that may help. Thank you

Dryer sheets and strong odors have been debunked years ago.
On the other hand, it could be dryer sheets have kept elephants out of my home basement. haven't seen any signs of one yet.

Seriously; The best practices is to remove ALL food sources from the RV. Wash countertops/food prep areas, mop floors, wash out refrigerator. Then seal all points of access. A mouse can squeeze through a hole the size if its head.
Pictures have been posted here of a mouse nesting in dryer sheets, with cotton balls and an Irish Spring soap bar in the RV, and a sonic generator plugged in.

This topic has come up many times. Yes indeed scented soap, peppermint, mothballs, electronic crap, etc either dont work or are unreliable. Sealing up all penetrations helps. Yes removing all food helps too but we live (and our rig is parked) on the edge of deep woods and the mice here are tenacious! The ONLY thing that works for us is plain ol' "Victor" mousetraps. I bait them with extra crunchy peanut butter. Nailed 3 so far this fall. Yes we cover our MH after winterizing and monitor the traps weekly. Its a pain but you will regret not being proactive if mice set up shop and chew stuff and poop in places its hard to clean. Dont ask me how I know that!

1. Make the RV unattractive. That was covered above with cleaning and removing food. Even the filter in the range vent may have smells that attract them.

2. Minimize access. You’ll never seal it completely, but do your best.

3. Traps inside and out.

Covering the rig would make it more attractive to them.
