That it would become an expensive addiction. Worth every penny.

How poorly 80% of the units sold today are built.

Still having a blast, still cheaper than a cottage for me, glad I'm not towing it!

Learning as you go is part of the adventure!

If I could wind the clock dial back when we retired the tents for our first pop-up, I would seriously tell myself to open up a dedicated money market account to save for the future path of upgrading. If you think you won't upgrade, trust me, you will if you truly enjoy the lifestyle. You will find as you age, your needs change... The motorcycle, mess kit, and bed roll were once all I needed. Fast forward 4+ decades and a 40' triple slide 5er tugged with a big diesel dually are our minimum requirements!

Happy camping!

Everything will, eventually, go wrong. Be prepared to fix whatever you can!

Welcome to the forum.

You are joining a good group of folks here with good info to share. Read the various threads here and ask questions as they come up or add info if you can.

We should have gone to a class A rather than starting with a Class C

Good luck and enjoy the adventure!

That something breaks on every trip. But I love it anyways.

That it would be so much fun that you sell your house and go full time.

Keep it simple. Not many people seem to follow that rule given the size of some people's rigs and the amount of "stuff" they take with them camping, but for me, keeping it simple is the key to my enjoyment. Admittedly, your ability to keep it simple may change with your stage of life. We used to take a lot more stuff when the kids were small. We try to spend most of our time enjoying the great outdoors, and not much time in the camper.
