New queen size bed

I want to replace the current Queen size bed in my motor home which is a standard sized Queen 60"X80". It sits on top of a pedestal that is 19" high that serves as the opening to the rear engine. I found a Serta apple valley memory foam standard queen that is 8" thick. In the store it feels very comfortable and sturdy. I am trying to stay with an 8" to 10" thick mattress to keep the overall height down as opposed to the more common 12" to 14" mattress that would be hard to climb in to.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the Serta apple valley memory foam mattress.

Here is listing for it at mattress Firm. On sale for a good price.

Thanks

I don't have any input on that mattress. Just want to ask; when you tested the mattress in store , was it on a box spring, or on a deck?
Placing a mattress that you tested on a box spring , on the deck in your M/H will give it an intirely different feel.
JMHO; Any mattress you consider , test it on a deck , or even have it moved to the showroom floor for a try out, only way to duplicate the feel of the M/H install.
BTW. the listing on the mattress didn't come through on your post.

We just got a new pillow top mattress with out the box springs that was supposed to go with it. Left that at the store. We went with what felt better for our backs and then we had to go and buy deep pocket sheets, lol.

Did you check "reviews"? I did and there are a lot of people out there that are unhappy with Serta products (including Apple Valley) Check Consumeraffairs.com
