New Thetford Tecma Red Light Stays on. How to fix?

The red light on my Tecma Thetford toilet stays on. The toilet has not been used yet.

I'm reading it has to do with the black tank level sensor?

How can I disable this sensor? Do I jumper the wires or just disconnect the wires?

Thanks!

You might try a 12V system reset - shut down the 12V master switch - wait 10 minutes and turn it back on.

Might also try the 'emergency flush' process - press both flush buttons together to flush the toilet and see if it will reset.

Note the process for adjusting the bowl water depth ...

Thanks.

I have the manual. I tried to disable the flush lockout, nothing changed.

I can hold one button for about 8 seconds and it will flush.

You saying to disable the battery for 10 min, then turn back on? I'll try that.

Are you absolutely sure the black tank is not full? Stranger things have happened when a new unit was on a dealers lot.

I have the same system and if I were in your situation, and the tank was empty, I would try to do a high pressure flush of the tank (dump valve open) to see if the sensor could be jarred loose or cleaned off. Getting at my Tecma Wires at the toilet is not easy. Finding where the full level probe is on the tank itself might be easier. If you can find the probe array on the tank, be sure to check the ground probe too.

1000% sure tank is empty.

I just got done sanitizing fresh water tank and lines, dumped both tanks.

So, now the light turned green last time I checked it. I flushed 1 time then again light turns red.

I'd like to just disable the toilet tank sensor, I'll always check the tank levels often so not worried about overflow.

Do I disconnect the wires from the sensor, or do I have to jumper the wires?

What brand tank level system do you have? I have Firefly but there are several others that have probes of some sort.
