New/Used RV

We are back we sold our 5th wheel last March due to both my wife and I having different types of cancer and the way I was working. A month after that I had a hart attack that resulted in a quadruple bypass.

We now have made a full recovery and our health is good and now I have retired for the 3rd time and staying that way.

We decided to get back into RVing and looked around for about a month. We were down to 2 units a new and a used unit.

We ended up with a lightly used 2014 Shasta Flyte 26RL. On the way back from the dealer we stoped at the tire shop and put on 4 commercial grade tires. Then we made it our unit by getting a new mattress, adding a spare tire on the rear bumper, installation of a sewer hose carrier on the rear bumper and a new 40 inch smart TV along with other small changes.

Our first trip with it will be to Gettysburg PA on the 18th. Now it is parked at SideYard Campground.Click image for larger version

Congratulations on your new trailer, and welcome to the quad bypass club. Glad your recovery is going well. Last Friday was the 5 year anniversary of my bypass and have since retired 2.5 years ago. Have a wonderful retirement and stay healthy!
