There are a number of waterless cleaners that seem to work well. I've used Dri Wash, The Solution, No Wet, and Wash Wax All. They all remove dirt and leave some wax or polish. The Wash Wax All system is my favorite and the one I use now. My 10 yr old coach looks pretty much new.

With the 'Solution' we always washed with water, then applied it with paper towels. We don't feel good wiping it on a dirty RV.

On our 2002 Dutch Star the FBP was about a $7,000 option, paid it and was glad we did. Still looked good after 13 years. FBP wasn't even available on the '00 DSDP.
Present rig didn't come any other way but fully painted and clear coated
