Newbies from Texas
Can anyone tell me where I can find the fresh water tank and drain on my new (to us) 2004 Coachmen Concord 235 SO? We have some very cold weather coming to Texas in a couple of days and I want to make sure all the water is out before I try to blow it out. Any hints on how to do this? We're totally new to RVing.
Thanks in advance,
Joe Deal

Welcome to the forum! There are many great forum members willing to provide help at any time!
RV's, including your Coachmen, typically have a "wet bay" where fresh water hose is connected and has valves that direct water flow, have low point drains, etc. On larger RV's, the wet bay also include the sewer hose connection, outdoor shower, etc.
Thanks to Mr. Google, I quickly found your owner's manual in case you don't have one --> https://coachmenrv.com/OwnersManuals/14186580.pdf
Starting on page 28, the manual has a description of your water system including flow valves, drain valves, etc. I didn't read all of the pages in detail. Hopefully the manual can provide some help.

Hi Joe! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined us!
Congrats on the new rig! Hopefully the manual Mike found will help. In most cases the freshwater tank will be right behind the panel in the wet bay. Be safe, have fun, and keep her between the ditches!
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Mike and Cindy:
Thanks for your reply. I do have the manual but unfortunately little applies to this particular RV. I was able to find the fresh water tank below a dining seat, but so far I'm unable to locate the drain valve since the tank is above the flooring directly above the LP tank. I'm guessing that there must be a drain valve somewhere between here and the fill fittings which are on the opposite side and at the other end of the RV. I'll start tracing those best I can tomorrow but I'm also guessing that the lines will be above floor also so I don't have much confidence. Thanks for your suggestions and who knows if maybe our paths may cross. Our oldest son's family still lives in Angleton.

I am not familiar with your coach, but most if not all drain from the lowest point. On my coach the water tank is below the floor and the drain is on the bottom of the tank. There is a blade valve, just like on the Waste dump valves, that empties the water under the MH. Mine is in the storage bay, and is somewhat hidden, but pull that handle and water will pour out under the MH.

Thanks so much for the info. I'm going to look for that kind of drain. Didn't even think about looking in the storage bin!

Just run all the water out of
If you can't find a drain just run the pump to empty the tank, maybe from the outside shower if you don't want it to fill the grey tank

Hi Joe Deal, what part of TX are you located? If it’s cold for just a day or two, leave the heat(furnace) set around 60 degrees or so.
That’s what we done nowadays, as we frequently use the RV during our ‘winters’.
This coming weekend, some forecasts predict 9 degrees overnight. You read that right, 9 for MidlandTX. Holy Crap!
