Exactly Regional service centers could serve thousands of owners/customers all over America and Canada. I'm sure the company already has several listings of thousands of coach owners, so why not offer regional service center repairs/up-grades pricing programs to owners. If anyone is going to keep the company doors open it will be loyal owners/fans who can actually get serviced without having to factor in major "additional fuel cost" just to get to one single service centers. There are dealers closing doors everywhere from lack of sales.
Newmar or any other builder/company who is really trying to survive could take over repair/service facilities with (laid off workers already in place). It's a far better plan/move than just sit around waiting for "the banks" to come and close the operation down.
Regional service centers will also have a foothold on future upgrade trends.
Let's face it, we're all gonna have to have our RV coach engines and fuel systems refitted for better fuel economy.
If we don't get the (retrofitting for better fuel economy), you can exspect to see coming soon to a mail box near you the old
GOV LUX TAX resurface for having these fuel eating monsters on the road.
It's just a matter to time. I'm already putting some cash away for my diesel fuel economy upgrade package. It's just a matter of time gang.
