No more lost power cut-off switch key
I rent out both of my RV's and it only takes one renter to loose something to get me to make changes to them both so it doesn't happen again. I added this cut-off switch to a piece of cement fiber board that I painted black to match the rest and to protect the board from the elements. To keep my renters from loosing my key I made this cable. What do you all think?

What do I think?
I think I can't figure out what all that is and what it disconnects.

Great idea. Mine falls out all the time regardless of where the cutoff is switched to, but the rv maker already had it on a cable so they must have forseen me and "my people" buying from them...

When you remove the key, it disconnects all power in the trailer. So when you are storing, it anything left on like the carbon dioxide detector that always runs or if you accidentally left a light on it will save your battery.

I would never rent out my RV so I don't worry about losing keys or things like that but I still have no idea what this cut off switch is your are referring to.

Knowing some people as I do, your key idea will just make some renters try harder at losing that key

My current rv is my first to have a cutoff... you should have seen me trying to figure out if it should be "on" or "off" to have the battery connected. I failed that IQ test hard... youtube saved me from calling the dealer with an embarassing question.

I learn something new everyday on here. I didn't know they made a cutoff with a key. Mine has two battery power disconnect switches built in.
Seems to me using a key could be a real problem if you turn off the power and then lose the key.
