I'm a big fan of campground site photos & am frustrated websites show pools, playgrounds, holiday parades, happy campers, happy campers & more happy campers...etc. After a stay at a campgound where the website shows few site photos, I do contact the campground via their email & suggest they add those types of photos to their website album. Plus, I go around & take pictures myself & put at least a few site photos in my campground reviews here. But I'm limited to just 6 photos in the Campgrounds section, so I try to post a lot in my little slice of the Photos section.
Regarding what Jim said above about campgrounds taking photos of their sites to post on their websites, Lake Leelanau RV Park in MI does it right with a
clickable site map that brings up site photos. THAT's what we want to see.
Now, I have also run across a website starting to show site photos.
ReserveAmerica.com. It's hit & miss, but, sometimes, when you choose to view via the Campground Map option & you hover your cursor over a campsite number, a pop-up box will show with the site details & it'll include a photo of the site.
It's so much nicer to know what you're getting into prior to reserving instead of being surprised upon arrival.
