No Power......urrrgh!
So I go out to 5vr to check on couple things and I noticed no
AC Power, Inverter OFF/no battery charging etc
Check the Breaker at Pedestal....30A CB not tripped
*Open/Reclosed it
Check RV Main 50A CBs......not tripped
*Open/Reclosed them
Still no AC Power
Checked Shore Cable
Checked RV Receptacle.....Checked the Manual Transfer Set of CBs
Go inside house to get a drink and SHE says "Power's Off"
Then Bingo...Power comes back on
Dang AZ brown outs.
Always Check SOURCE first.
Would have saved me 40 minutes of head scratching

OB-
I dated a nurse practitioner many years ago. We split up, but she left me this nugget of wisdom from her training:
"When you hear hooves behind you, think horses, not zebras."
In the intervening years I have had plenty of chances to put this diagnostic advice into practice- and failed almost every time!
Thanks for posting. You brought a smile to my face today.

Sorry, but this is hysterical just because it's *you*! (I'm sure you would find it equally amusing were our roles reversed.)

I got a chuckle out of it too. You are our guru of diagnosing/resolving RV problems. Makes me feel better when even the best of us has one get by us.
P.S. I'm laughing WITH you not AT you.

I rebuilt a living room lamp TWICE before realizing it didn't work because I had not plugged it back in.
Ol Biscuit's moral of the story might be that if he had not stopped for a beverage, he might have never known about the power being off.

So sorry. It happens that my RV "pedestal" is mounted on the same pole the meter is on.

I like that takeaway. I'll have to make note "have a beer" when I get stumped on something.

This is actually--and I'm not kidding--a valuable technique for solving complex problems. "I'm going to go get something to drink" (coffee or a soda at work, of course!) was a respected and well-trodden road, as was "I'm going to go have a cigarette" several decades back. It's amazing what can happen when you let your subconscious work on a problem as you walk to the vending machine/cafeteria/shared break room/whatever and back while you try not to think about things too much. Very often, someone would work out the solution or a viable approach to the problem on such a break without even trying.
It's strange how our minds work.

After chasing my tail for 30 minutes only to find the campground power was bad, I added this light. It's a 110volt LED that is powered by an outlet that is powered directly by shore power. I have an inverter and it will seamlessly power the coach when there's an outage and you don't know until hours later that the power is out.
I mounted it under a light switch I can see from anywhere in the coach. If I think something electrical occurred or I'm just walking into the coach and want to make sure I'm connected to shore power, I just look at the LED.
