I do agree with you about posting the price but I can tell you there sometimes a few reasons why they can’t. One is each state has different laws. I can tell you in TX we have a lot if laws and some of the make no sense at all. In TX you can not post was and a now pricing so because the dealerships can not show the savings they want you to call them so they can tell you it. They can just show the now price but then people don’t know its already marks down already and think they can get a lot more off the sale price. If you just show the so called “MSRP” then people think that’s why too much and get scared over price. Another reason is because of the manufactures. They have it in there contracts that you can not advertise and current year model at a discounted price. (People break this rule all the time and don’t see how you can really force it) This is why now you see whole sale online dealerships only email you the price now and don’t post them. That way dealers are not getting made at each other and cutting each others throats across the country. Now again a lot of this makes no sense because there really is NO MSRP (manufacture suggested retail price) that is a car thing and not a RV thing. In the car world if you look at a red mustang at one dealership and one at another dealership with the same options they will have the same price because the factories sent the retail price. This is not the case in the RV world. Each dealership makes up there own list price, asking price, “MSRP”, or what ever you want to call it. It could be 10% or it could be 40% that’s up to the dealership manger. That’s why I don’t get when people say you should get this ___% off. It’s impossible to say that since there is no standard mark up unlike cars. Well that’s just my to cents

What ever you do enjoy!

Joe

I skip over any add that does not include a price, no matter what the item. If they want to sell the item then tell me their asking price. I also beleive any add should end with ..... or best offer. I am on the IRV2 forum each and every day. If RV.Net were in the same class as IRV2 then I would be on that forum instead.

Also why would Rv.net class A forum moderator find this thread offensive? Am I missing something? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

I've noticed they do that quite a bit; that's why I came here. Had my first & only post deleted there and still have no idea why </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
I have been a member there since 2002, and I still don't understand. The moderator "Admin" seems to be the worst of the bunch. I seldom open that website now.

Back to the original topic; I never pursue any add that doesn't contain a price. I figure they are hiding something.
