No Response from SmartWeigh...
Good Evening, and Happy Thanksgiving!
I would like to get my MH weighed at the Escapees Bushnell FL location. I have emailed the "Smartweigh3" address and no response. After a couple of weeks I also sent a message via the regular Escapees website, no response.
Does anyone here know if the service is still available, and if so how to book an appointment?

Don't know about Escapees in Florida but come to Elkhart, IN next May 1 to 8 as the FMCA Ramblin' Pushers Chapter has their annual Maintenance Session. A full week of most everything you want to know about your Diesel Motorhome, including 4-corner weighing and a class on how to apply what you learned.
Great group of folks, heart of RV manufacturing in Indiana, Amish food around every corner...!

When Escapees was sold to Harvest Hosts they put the non co-op campgrounds up for sale, including Bushnell. See: https://www.irv2.com/forums/f92/esca...ng-657414.html
Not much has come out on any changes, though.

re: mobile RV weighing companies. Weigh-to-go was purchased this year by a younger couple, it had been for sale for several years.
Smartweigh is not a company, this is a service of Escapees Club.
RV weigh is alive and kicking.

As far as I am aware, the smartweigh program in Bushnell is still being done. I am there now, and am on the next street over from the weighmaster. Give the campground a call directly to schedule. (352) 793-1333.

Not yet, I am getting a new solar system and batteries etc from CCRV (Derek and Lacey Green) at the end of this week and I will get it weighed after that. I live in Sarasota so it shouldn't be too difficult to get up there, I am hoping.... Thanks!

Follow-up
Just to follow up, I was able to reach the weighmaster at Bushnell (Mike) and we got weighed in early May. Easy process and good to know the actual weights for every tire and axle, as well as the toad!

Did knowing the individual tire weights alter your PSI settings versus just the axle weights? Did you alter where you stored things? Just curious.

Hi Tom,
We did not need to alter where anything is stored. I am well under the GVWR but the drive axle is right at the limit, so that was an eye opener. I deliberately did the weights with a full tank of diesel, 50% fresh water, and 25% or so in the black and grey tanks. So it was kind of "worst case scenario" on purpose.
I could lower the PSI in the tag, but have not done that yet. The others were at the correct PSI already.

We have tried to get scheduled in Bushnell but no response at all from Escapees. We called Sumter RV today, and they said the park is being sold tomorrow and they are no longer scheduling Smart Weigh at their location. They had no idea if Escapees would continue at another site, but for now it seems Florida is no longer a supported location for the Smart Weigh service.
