Exclamation No Waxing Trailer

I have a 2003 Sunline Solaris T 2363 Travel Trailer that the owners manual states that the siding never needs waxing. It has been treated with (Krystal Koting). I wash it with Dawn Dish soap or Auto wax with wax and it cleans up very well. Has anyone run across Aluminum siding treated with this product?
If you have , what results have you had without waxing. Thanks, Coutch

Never wash a trailer or vehicle with Dawn unless you want to strip off the wax.

I use a good car wash soap and hand wax once a year

His doesn't have wax, so no worries about stripping it off.

"Doesn't need waxing" isn't the same as "Do NOT wax", so you can wash & wax and polish if you like. The Krystal Kote finish is supposed to outlast regular painted aluminum, but nothing lasts forever. Nor is it impervious to all possible chemicals and grunge that may be in the air. BTW, the aluminum siding on the Sunliner is painted with a baked enamel finish. The Krystal Kote is a protective layer over that, analogous to the clear coat used on modern paint finishes.

The Sunliner owner Club has some topics on Krystal Kote finishes that you might find helpful.
