Non Slide Mat for Storage Compartment?
I need to find something to keep my containers from sliding around in my pass through storage compartment of my travel trailer.
Has anyone done anything for this? It needs to be lightweight also.

Years ago I began using non-slip carpet underlayment where my RV had a slick smooth floor. I'd still be using it today but my MH has carpeted basement floors. Just cut to size:

Those that have protection installed by the manufacturer use a type of felt fabric... very thin, lightweight and containers slide on them easily.

Depending on your size needs,
Yoga mat material or Floor mats used for tread mills....
Also... if you use any type of carpet consider something mold resistant, i.e. marine

I installed Eshold 18 in x 30 in black doormats from Target for my motorhome basement and other compartments.

I had to pick up a tub to move it, no dragging it out or pushing it into the compartment.

I used some of the large square commercial type carpet tiles. Rubber backed and water resistant. Easy to install and cut to shape.
Also installed them in the bottom of the inside cabinets.

Non-skid paint works, as do various anti-slip mats and tapes, e.g. stair tread non-slip. Remember, though, that it still needs to slip a bit so you can easily slide things out or move stuff around. Don't get carried away! Indoor/outdoor carpet works well if the compartment is more-or-less full and just needs a little grip, but if you put one smooth plastic container in an otherwise empty but carpeted compartment, it's gonna slide at the first traffic stop.

Gary, the carpet squares I used do not allow even smooth containers to slip easily. There is enough pile on the surface to hold them and still allow you to pull them out.
