North East Trip MPG

We just completed our first trip to the North East. We were gone 61 days and drove 6,664 miles. 3,800 miles were towing. 2,864 just driving to see things.

We averaged 14.3 miles per gallon. The worst mileage was 9.5 miles per gallon and the best was 20.5 miles per gallon.

We used 489 gallons of diesel at an average cost of $3.25 per gallon. The most we paid was $4.08 per gallon and the least was $2.79.

That's about what I would expect from that combo. 20-21 witout a trailer on is about what I get with my F250 and 11-12 with the 12K 5er hooked on. That 9.5 mpg was quite possibly from diesel fuel that was over the usual 10%% bio crap and what mine will occasionally dip down to if I am unlucky enough to fuel up with that crap.
