Not getting water from fresh tank

Coming back from our last trip, I discovered no water from the faucets when the water pump was on. And it did not pressure up and stop like normal. I pulled the washer/screen from the city hookup, depressed the check valve and got squirted, so not the check valve. I also checked the area around the pump and found no dampness.
From previous experience, I don't let the pump run for more than a minute or so, because I left the black tank sprayer on once and lost all fresh water.
Any idea on what to check next?
FWIW, we live in Vermont, so I have drained the fresh water tank and low points with all faucets open. I am leaving the furnace set on 48 for now until my blowout thing arrives from Amazon as I don't think I can trust the pump to distribute antifreeze. I have dumped antifreeze in all drains and ran the pump for a minute to clear residual water out of it. I think it will be safe to shut off the furnace once I blow the lines out.

Sounds like it could be a clogged FW whole house filter

I don't believe my 2012 Cougar came with one. However, when I installed the Revolution water pump 4 years ago, I added a filter to the pump. That is worth a look.

If you have the shore or fill valve combined it may have failed. When it does the pump works in a circle from tank and back to it.

No, the fill is at the back and shore (city) is forward at the control area. Thanks.
