That article reads like the author is down on electric vehicles. Then again, he IMO has some rather outlandish ideas.

Key sentence: At the present time it appears that this is simply a computer model of the camper.

Hauling a large battery pack eliminates carrying capacity for other things. Funny that a few years back going lighter was the “thing” in trailer design. Now the weight is going back in to make up for other shortcomings.

He said you can plug your EV into 50 amp pedestal. Does he know that is only 120 volt

Pay $55,000 for a tear drop

Campers are going to switch from a big class A to a tear drop. Sure

A 50 amp RV hookup is 240/120 volts and is no different than a modern electric range outlet. The EV uses the 2 hot legs without the neutral which yields straight 240 volts.
The 50 amp RV also uses both legs but keeps them separate and uses the neutral to complete a 120 volt circuit on each leg.

Ev is the new buzzword, where do these ppl think the electric is going to come from? Dirty power plants, dirty processing of the chemicals to make them and best of all, they are being shipped on the dirtiest polluter of all transportation, the mega freighter. One ship emits as much or more pollution than the entire eastern seaboard.
Let's not forget how fragile our power infrastructure is. I'm about a clean earth but they live in a fantasy. Focus on the ships, would be a good start.
Maybe in next 5 to 10 years we will see battery production here besides just ev batteries
