NY state campgrounds

I bought a 24' class C in Sept, put it in storage till December and am now in Alabama along the Gulf. I live in NYC and had stored the motorhome near New Paltz, NY. I have found a place here in Alabama that will store my motorhome for one dollar a day. I also bought a tow dolly and towed my car. I mainly use the motor home in the winter and I'm debating with myself whether I should leave the coach in Al or drive it back toward the city. If I could find a place that I could use the coach on occasion and was say under $2,000 for the 7 or 8 months I would drive it back. Do any of you people know of any places within 200 miles of NYC, beside the Poconos where I could use/store my RV for the summer months?

Have you looked in the Lake George area? There are quite a few campgrounds in that area that seem to have a fair number of long term rentals.

Buying a house in Lake George might be cheaper, I looked at a few campgrounds and about $4500 seems to be the going rate, April 1 to Sept 30 I think I'm going to leave my rig here in Alabama.

Ouch!!! I didn't know they would be that pricey! Other options might be somewhere south of Albany or west of Albany toward Herkimer. You might also look in the Berkshires of Western Mass. I'm on the road for business this weekend but I might be able to check out some of my listings to see if there is another option for you.

That equates to $25 a day. Sounds reasonable to me.
