Of interest to ROD members
Just read on another forum where Thousand Trails has dropped all Leisure Time parks from the ROD network. Also seeing posts where NACO members are unable to access the ROD network also. If you are a ROD member and have reservations at any Thousand Trails/NACO/Leisure Time parks you may want to verify if your reservation is still valid.

Brian, I really feel sorry for folks getting gerked around by various membership systems. It would appear various systems are loosing their value.

ROD (Resorts of Distinction) was always a separate membership from Thousand Trails/NACO, Leisure Time Resorts, & Mid Atlantic Resorts. At various times there have been combined membership contracts sold, but the basic offerings were always separate. You get what your contract says you get, and that can be confusing when comparing memberships.
But you are right - they are tightening the regs year by year, eliminating anything not explicitly specified in the contract. I'm an RPI member as well, and ELS (the parent of Thousand Trails, RPI and ROD (have added more and more restrictions every year, cutting my park access by around 20%.

I understand about ROD being a separate membership but in order to belong you need to be a member of a system that is part of the ROD network. ELS/TT/leisure Time/ NACO has dropped out of the ROD system so now if you have a membership in ROD through them you have just lost your ROD membership and from what I am reading on the net if you paid your dues to ROD for this year they are gone as there is a no refund policy.

ELS is a highly profitable real estate company - they really know how to wring a buck out of their properties. Member benefits have been eroding quickly since they took over.
I quit RPI last year after a new ELS policy cut my access to many RPI resorts, but they called me personally and bribed me to stay on with a free extension of my membership and a promise that some improvements were in the works for TT members in RPI. But the freebie extension is almost up and there has been no change at all in policies that I can see.
