My first experience with the 15 year rule. Refused entry to Sunkissed Village RV resort Summerfield Fla. I guess we should just throw 6 figure coaches away when the get to 15 years of age.
American Eagle 42R impeccable inside and out.

Not the sort of people you want to hang out with anyway. Your clothing bill would probably go way up while you were there, just from the pressure to keep up with the au courant fashionistas.

That same resort that rejected you probably has 40 year old mobile homes as permanent residents. That’s how Florida rolls.

So far we've never been told no, and ours is a 1998. We've stayed in many campgrounds with age limits, and they are fine after we sent a photo. We're in a campground right now with a 15 year age limit and I'll tell you, my rig one of the cleanest and shiniest in the campground.
Full disclosure: We as a general rule don't stay in super expensive luxury RV resorts, although we have a couple times. Still no problem, after sending a photo - so far.
I really wouldn't have a problem is a place said no. It's their business, I respect their rules, and I'll just go to a place that does accept me.

We have only been turned away once at a campground. It was a hoity todiy new CG in Las Vegas. Turned out just as well, the one we did find was way nicer and half the price. I have been told to just show up and not call ahead like we did. It gives them a chance to see your unit, just a thought.

But you are correct my facial expression would have been priceless. I would have had a look of utter disbelief that something so juvenile was actually happening right before my eyes.

It’s a fact. There are campgrounds that restrict based on the age of your rig but it isn’t frequent enough to let it be a factor. For those that say otherwise, maybe they just haven’t experienced it. It isn’t just about the condition of your rv. Mine is a 2008 and looks like new, BUT there are parks that don’t accept it. Free country. Their right. I understand. No problem. There have always been parks near the restrictive park that we’ve found. It has never really been a problem. Know what your doing however when you get an older rv...a LOT of work. I enjoy it.

I have been asked the age of my unit and I just told them what they wanted to hear. The rig is an updated and polished 2002 class A and no one has complained or challenged me about the age.

Don't sweat it.. We also have run into the 10/15 year rules.. Nearby will be another park that is just as nice but half the price...And will welcome any year of a $7 figure RV.
